Online Integrative Therapist, MSc, MBACP

About Me

It can take a lot of courage to make the initial contact with a counsellor and you have already taken an important step by being here. It is essential that you find a therapist who you feel comfortable with, as your relationship with your counsellor can be a source of growth and healing, as well as a safe space where you can share and reflect.

What I offer you is a collaborative relationship where you and I can explore together what you are experiencing at a pace that feels right to you. I am an Integrative Counsellor, which means that I usually draw from a variety of perspectives and ways of working (including person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, somatic) depending on your needs. Sometimes it can be useful to think about your past experiences, or other times it may be useful to notice and respond to how your body is feeling in the moment. Rather than impose certain ways of working, I like to check in with you and decide together how to move forward.

I currently offer online counselling sessions to adults (18+) via secure video conferencing. In addition to private practice, I work in the charity sector as a counsellor for carers. I also have experience with counselling university students, musicians, and songwriters.

In addition to my diploma in Integrative Counselling, I also hold an MSc Psychology. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

Services

Here are some of the ways I can help:
Therapy for Carers
and Other Caring People

If you are a carer, a parent, or someone who often puts other people’s needs before your own:

I help you balance caring for others with caring for yourself.

Therapy for Impostor Syndrome

If you struggle with self-doubt and not feeling “good enough”:

I support you to challenge the unhelpful thoughts and beliefs that are holding you back.

Therapy for Songwriters
and Other Creative Musicians

Regardless of whether the difficulties you are currently facing are related to your music:

I offer a space to explore what you’re experiencing, as well as the option to use your creativity as a tool in this process.

Some of the other areas I work on with clients:

  • Self Esteem
  • Anxiety
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Sexual identity
  • Multicultural issues
  • Depression
  • Bereavement or any form of loss
  • Trust
  • Stress/issues related to work or academic study
  • Managing chronic pain

Fees

Sessions are £70 and last for 50 minutes. I have a limited number of concessionary places available for students and those with low income. I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation (see below for more information).

It is important that you find a counsellor who is a good fit for you and this initial meeting can give us both a sense of how we might work together. We can explore what brings you to counselling, what your hopes and expectations are, and whether you have any questions or concerns. If we decide to work together, ongoing sessions (50 minutes) are usually held weekly on an agreed day and time. I am usually able to respond to all emails within 48 hours.
